I’ve been working on the blog all day and I just can’t post it. It’s one of the most challenging and gut-wrenching letters I’ve ever received and it deserves more time. Please come back Monday and see how I’ve done.
Tomorrow of course is Friday Feedback, and I’ve got a few fun pieces to share with you all. I’ve decided to take the rest of the day off soaking in the sun and trying to get rid of this awful cold once and for all. Sorry folks, my tan needs me.
Starting next week the blog will have to be much shorter (as many of you have already pointed out it should be) because my management team has ordered me to finish my book. And by “finish,” they mean, “write more than 4 paragraphs.”
This is where you come in! I’m writing about divorce and looking for both horror stories and those that are more like mine (good friends with ex-husband/baby-daddy, cooperative co-parents, etc.). The focus of the book will be lessons on how to have the best divorce possible while minimizing the emotional and financial impact on your family.
I’d prefer to interview people on the phone or in person and of course you can remain anonymous. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be a part of the book. I am especially interested in families devastated by alimony or child custody battles.
And with that, I’d like to throw a big shout out to Mr. Patience and Understanding, the aforementioned baby-daddy and his bride, without whom I would not be free to write this book from such a blessed and refreshing perspective. Patrick, you always said I should write this thing. Here we go!
